Terms of Use

The portal is for enrolled JSLTCC students and approved staff. New accounts go through manual approval by our team before you can access the dashboard. If you are under 18, please use the portal with a parent or guardian's permission.

You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for any activity that happens on your account. Don't share your login with classmates, family members, or anyone else. If you think someone else has accessed your account, contact us straight away using the details at the bottom of this page.

Please use the portal respectfully. You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or harm other students, teachers, or staff.
• Submit content that is illegal, hateful, or sexually explicit.
• Try to break, scrape, or reverse-engineer the portal.
• Share your account with others or use someone else's account.
• Use the portal for anything other than learning Japanese and related study activities at JSLTCC.

The portal includes AI-powered tools, including the AI Voice Partner. These generate responses automatically and may sometimes be wrong, incomplete, or misleading. Treat AI responses as a study aid, not a substitute for your teacher. Please don't share sensitive personal information (national ID numbers, banking details, passwords, etc.) with the AI tools. We may review AI chat logs for safety and quality, and to improve the service.

Lessons, exam questions, flashcards, and other content in the portal are owned by JSLTCC or our content partners (including textbook publishers where applicable). You may use them for your own personal study while you are a JSLTCC student. Please don't republish, redistribute, or sell them, and don't share your account so that non-students can access them.

Anything you submit through the portal — chat messages, exam answers, quiz attempts, notes — remains your content. By submitting it, you give us permission to store and process it so we can run the service for you (for example, showing you your results, tracking your study streak, or improving the lessons).

We may suspend or close an account if it's used in a way that breaks these terms, disrupts the service for others, or puts our staff or other students at risk. If we close your account for these reasons you may lose access to your lessons, exam history, and flashcard progress. You can also close your account at any time by contacting us.

We try to keep the portal working well, but we can't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or perfectly accurate. The portal is provided "as is". We're not liable for indirect losses you might experience as a result of using the portal — for example, a missed exam submission because of a technical outage, or an AI tool giving an incorrect answer. This doesn't affect your statutory rights.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant we'll try to let you know directly (for example, by a notice in the portal or by email). Continuing to use the portal after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of Sri Lanka.
